  • A truly unique and intimate experience, Steele created theatre through dining. The artistic food presentation to the elegant table decor, it all takes a backseat to the flavours and passion he presents in every dish. I tried new foods and flavour pairings I never would have selected outside of this experience as the entire menu and 'performance' is honestly so captivating. Its hard to go out and enjoy fine dining again and feel like an 'adult' with young kids, so having an affordable option in my own home, while the kids slept is so great! I recommend EVERYTHING and you can be assured I'll be booking again (and again).

  • Recently, I scored a seat at a table of 8, to experience a night that was so much more than the tasting menu on offer. We were all quick to realise, that it wasn't just about the laughter and the stories from around the table and it wasn't just about the food prepared right before our eyes. It was the combination of the setting, the company, the feeling and ambience which was all about Steele working right there just feet away. The anticipation of what was coming from the kitchen next, was exciting and like being part of a show. Yes the food was seriously good but it was way way more than just the food. A perfect evening!

  • When recently planning a luncheon for friends, I contacted Steele to see if he was available (at short notice) and to discuss a menu suitable for our selection of wines. Dealing with Steele was absolutely effortless and in no time, we had a mouth-watering menu selected and the booking was locked in. Steele arrived with everything! –plates, cutlery, linens, table decoration and professionally printed menus, and proceeded to set the table before moving into the kitchen to prepare our meals. We were all absolutely delighted, and completely and totally elated with the flow of the luncheon, presentation and taste of every course presented to us. High quality produce, expertly prepared and presented, set the luncheon in high esteem and has left us all wanting MORE! Without fuss or ‘noise’ from the kitchen, Steele cleaned and packed away, such that the kitchen was as clean (if not cleaner) as when he arrived. I would have no reservation in recommending Private Dinning by Steele for any occasion or event …he is professional, organised, skilled and sets an extremely high standard in catering, that is almost impossible to match!!!

We welcomed Steele and his team to our home for our wedding day celebrations this weekend and absolutely everyone was talking about the food. Firstly the service, thank you Steele for ensuring the dinner service ran smoothly, to schedule and that food was bought out to everyone in a prompt manner. All of the guests appreciated not having that “I’ve been left til last” feeling that is often common at weddings. Your team bought everything out so quickly. The food was beyond fantastic. The menu curation, the dishes themselves, the flavour, everything was cooked to perfection. You impressed a big family of foodies, and somehow pulled off this massive feast with heaps of great flavours in such a short time, in our kitchen and served it to us in our own back yard. The taste of the food exceeded expectations and we will certainly attend your Moud Room venue in future because we definitely need more. Thank you for your kindness, yourself and your staff were easy to communicate with and so polite, it was truly a treasure to have you as part of our day.
